In the history of sexual abuse cases, in majority of the instances the Sexual Offender is often known to the victim. My experience substantiates this fact. I was motivated by the #Metoo movement to talk about the macabre phase of my life when I was raped by my sister’s fiancé (also father of my niece) – Mr. Joseph Labisi. My testimony is also part of a criminal investigation by the Los Angeles Police Dep Special Victim Unit between November 2018 – October 2019. The DA dismissed the case due to insufficient evidence. Since my report was 6 months after the assault. I did not have a forensic examination (rape kit); this means there was no dna was collected, no toxicology test was done. Therefore, my case did not make it to trial/court. 

MY INTENTION THROUGH THIS POST IS TO ONLY SPREAD AWARENESS AND SHARE AN UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE I HAD; AND NOT TO DEFAME OR HUMILIATE ANYONE!
